ABOUT THE ARTIST
I'm a self-taught artist. In 2015, I drew my first (decent) self portrait and began documenting my art journey through Instagram in 2016. Later that year I got my first commission that I sold for $20. In 2024, I dove head-first into pursuing art and painted my first live wedding painting as a gift to my friend. Notoriously self-conscious of others watching me work in the past, having hundreds of guests viewing my process was an intimidating aspect of the job, but one that I’ve surprisingly grown to love. Painting live wedding portraits has become such a passion of mine and one that I feel so blessed to get to do for others. There is no better reward than creating personal pieces that will be in families for generations.
I'm a New Jersey native who is currently based out of Ohio. I love learning new skills, spending time with family and friends, and going on unplanned adventures. I credit both of my parents with having a role in my artistic ability; my dad for perfecting my Superman symbol and my mom for passing down her Filipino creativity. My heritage has influenced a lot in my life including the name of my business. I chose Alampat Artwork because of the Cebuano word in it meaning “creativity" in my mother's dialect… and also because I love alliteration.
